I have a R/3 custom extractor. The deltas that this extractor is sending are like follows for example:
Doc # Key figure
1 10 (original)
1 15 (New)
So it is sending the new (changed) info in the KF as it is. So if the old doc is sitting in the cube I have to overwrite it and send the new (changed) information.
My question is does the change log table of ODS handle the reverse image and new image issue or is there some setting that I need to do?
Hi Ashmith and welcome to the SDN,
if you are posting your data to a ods first having all infoobjects (characteristics and keyfigures) set to overwrite mode, the ODS will take care about the correct delta to the cube and you will see just the 15 (not 25).
Hope this helps

Hi Ashmith,
yes exactly. If you set you update mode of the keyfigure to addition you will get the 25 instead of the correct value of 15. With overwrite mode, the ods will create a before image with a value of -10 and a after image of 15. In your cube you find a 10.
10 + (-10) + 15 = 15.
