Current Environment : BOE XI R2 (SP3) on windows, with CMS DB, Audit DB repository on Oracle 10.2.0.4 on AIX connected through Oracle Client 10.2.0.4

By default, sudden restart of CMS DB(Oracle), CMS retry to reestablish connection with repository database. Once Database is up CMS automatically comes up as running status.

But,

If database is down for more than 10 minutes  and when we bring up the ORACLE database, we do not see retry happening from CMS and CMS remains in stopped status.

Suggest needful.

Hi Akarsh,

If it's XI R2 - please try this:

In Central Configuration Manager (CCM), stop the Central Management Server (CMS), double click it, go to the dependancy tab, add your Database service as a dependancy.

This might help!!
