Hello all,
I have a short question:
Is it recommended to reuse user IDs in a SAP system?
We have a lot of IDs in the systems that have been shut down because the corresponding employee has left the company.
So we would like to use these IDs for new employees.
But I am not sure if this is really a good idea because of possible linking of the user ID with workflow documents or other change documents in the system. So it could be a (perhaps even legal) problem if a new employee would be able to see the data of the user who had the user ID before.
Does anybody has had this problem?
Thanks in advance for any hint or recommendation!
Regards,
Thilo K.
Hello,
Generally, you should not use those user ID's again, it has lot of limitations like if same employee joins back then same ID will be allocated to him instead of creating new one like employee code etc.
Thanks
Sunny
