Hi Guys
Good day
ISSUE:When i run the FCTR Logic Balance sheet figures are translating, but Income statement figures are not.
I am currently working on Currency Translation(SAP BPC 7.5NW) . Used business rules to translate the Local currency to Reporting currency. It’s a financial type Application
The issues is my Balance sheet figures are translating, but Income statement figures are not.
ACCTYPE Property (EXP) and RATE TYPE Property (AVG) in Account dimension is fine.
Business rules setup.
Formula: 1 . for Balance sheet figures used “[END]”
2. for IS figures used “[AVG]”
I don’t understand why only BS figures translated when I run FX Trans logic.
Is there any other place to check ???.
Guys please advise me where I must check .
Thanks
Regards
Narsi

Hi Experts
Thanks for your input
I ahve traced the issue. the issue is insted of AVG Business rule i used AVGE.
I ahve deleted the AVGE Business rule and created a New Business rule for Averages [AVG]
Then did cuple of test, its working fine
Thanks Alot Gents

Hi Narsi, there is a good SAP 'how to' paper on currency translation in BPC that you should check out. See link below.
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-4192
Also, you may want to check the datasource. Is the P&L going to a different one? If so, check the datasource property IS_CONVERTED.

Hi,
To understand the reason you can go and check the Account Dimension properly
You have a Rate Type property to be maintained for both Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts. This ratetype is referred in business rules.
So it could be either place missing - either you have missed out to maintain the ratetype or your business rule is not calling that ratetype which you have maintained for P&L Accounts.
3rd reason could be what kalyan pointed out --missing exchange rates for the period with rate type used for P&L Accounts.

Hi Narasaih,
Please make sure that in ur rate application you are loading the average rates along with the ending rates.
If the rates are properly uploaded and still you are having issues than please share screen shot of your account dimension and business rules for currency translation
