Clipboard keyboard shortcuts don't work in IDT

I like to use keyboard shortcuts when possible.  My clipboard keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V) don't seem to be working within the Information Design Tool.  I can right-click and access the clipboard from the context menu, but the keyboard shortcuts don't work.  No errors, nothing happens when I use them.

I find it interesting the clipboard commands are disabled in the Edit menu.  Perhaps this is related.

But why?  Am I doing something wrong here or is this a bug.

We are on 4.0 SP06.

Thanks,

Noel

Hi Noel,

what happens if you first change the label (e.g. to Country2) and then use the shortcut?

Best regards,

Nothing is copied to the clipboard when hitting Ctrl+C.  Clipboard related menu items are still disabled...

The result is the same when "Country2" is selected ("highlighted").

Then I guess this might have been improved in 4.1, I cannot reproduce all those behaviors in a 4.1 System.

Just installed 4.1 SP01 and this seems to be fixed.

Thanks,

Hi,

i am on BO 4.0 SP04, for me keyboard shortcuts are working in IDT, on edit menu, keyboard shortcuts will be enabled only when you select the object on which you want to apply keyboard shortcut. Please find the below screenshot for reference.

Ambreen,

I tried that, but it still didn't work.  It doesn't really matter since I just installed BI 4.1 SP01 and it is working now.
