Text Message popup issue

Hi All,

I am trying to populate text messages . say while selecting any item from catalog eg: Diswasher or TV and adding it to add to cart . some text message needs to be populated on screen. I have created zclass and extend it with ProductCatalogItemBeanImpl. and put productcatalog.ui.refrigerators key in it same I have defined in wcf_resource.xlf file also with the text messages i want to populate.

could you pls let me know if I am missing anything in configuration.

    Hi Abhay,

    This is what I could understand from your explanation:

    You want to show a message whenever a product is added to the cart. You have added a message resource in the wcf_resource.xlf file and have used it in the ProductCatalogItemBeanImpl class where during addition, the message will be raised.

    There are two scenarios over here:

    1. No message gets raised in the situation.

    For this, I suggest you debug and see what happens to the message object. Is it getting successfully added to the runtime?

    2. A message comes up but the text is not coming. You get a message "text for key not found: [productcatalog.ui.refrigerators].

    For this issue, please add this message resource to the wcf_resources_en.xlf file (Assuming the locale being used in en_US). The resource texts used should be specified in the locale specific resources file as the framework tries to pick up the translated text from these locale specific resource files.
