I am not able to deploy my files to the server. what are all the necessary configuration changes i have to make to deploy files to my portal server. when i try to deploy the file i am getting an following error

Sep 26, 2005 12:03:33 PM /userOut/deploy (com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.DeployThreadManager) [Deploy Thread] ERROR:

MyFirstApp.ear -> Deployment aborted

Reason:

Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !

Hi,

I think you havent configured SAP j2ee engine. In NDS go to windows -> Preferences -> SAP J2ee engine :there specify the server host and port. You can successfully deploy only when your server is up.

then right click on your proect -> quick par upload -> give your portal server name and password there.

check whether this works.
