Dear all,
Let me explain what is our scenario:
we have done datasource enhancement on 0mat_plant_attr in ECC6. here we have not used user exits to do enhancements instead BADIs are used.
following Z fields are populated Valuation Class,Reorder Point,Safety Stock. from MARC and MBEW. Also there is some data migration activity is going on in ECC.
Problem :
Usually delta records gets captured in rsa7 then they gets extracted to BI but sometimes when some migration activity is going on in ECC this delta mechanism doesn't work. delta extraction brings all records in MARC table. If due to migration 1000 records are getting changed then it should bring only 1000 records . why it is extracting all records in MARC ?
I have went through most of threads and OSS notes . haven't found anything .
Please help.
What is the delta specific field? Calday, Timestamp or Numeric Pointer?
What are the safety limits?
You can debug in RSA3 and set breakpoints.

Hi Akshay,
When ecc is going upgrade as BW team, we need to take about delta. other wise we will get inconsistency issues like this. Have you done any prerequisites before the ecc upgrade?
Due to the ecc upgrade Extract structure may change. Try to debug the data source at Dev environment and check it. which kind of records its pulling.
Try this option to make correction to your data flow:
Once the migration was over. Reinit your delta and check it. it still its pulls wrong/extra records then raise to SAP.
Thanks

Hi Akshay,
We have to check the Datasource with Debug Mode as how the data is getting populated over which and all tables.May it passing the Material to Plant tables (Vice Versa) and then populating the values.
There will certainly dependencies on table it not just MARC,There will me MARA,MARD,MARC,etc some other which we may not know.ALso you can check with MM Consultant for the PLANT MATERIAL Tables.
And moreover how many records you have for this master data...even a full load would do.:)
