SAP EHS Certification

Hi Folks,

I'm newly into SAP EHS Practice and thought of checking out whether there is a Certification program on the same.

I'm particularly concentrating on the EHS-WA (Waste Management) sub module in SAP EHS.

Please let me know whether certification is there and if so, how.. Whether its like a whole module certification or like separately for each of the sub-modules.

Hi Chris,

SAP EHS is very clumpsy module. Its easy to learn functionally Business process wise.But Background teachnical configurations such as WWI, Rule server, Leagcy data migration is very technical and requires lot of practice or need to third party tools provide by 3E company or Technidata. Here SAP is far behind.

My suggestion is install SAP IDES server on your own laptop/Desktop/Hardisk.  Go through SAP Help ( Which is difficult to understand. I dont know which english they use. Nothing is explained in straight manner.) It will be tough for you to start and gain pace. But you will need at least 6 month to understand first component Basic data tools. Have Patience.

Check Best practices on SCN for Chemical Industries. It will help you to understand Basic setup required to start But chances are there you may be lost. Its not as usefull as it is predicted.

Best of luck and be active on SCN.  Check blogs created as they will atleast provide you Map how to go further.

And best way look for any support project to start with as a Shadow resource. I have seen some ABAP/SD/MM who have worked on Support project and now are at least comfortable in SAP EHS.

Hi Chris

SAP is not yet offering any Certification for EHS Module particularly .Currently they are making lot of changes in EHS module(introducing new contents as per current business scenarios). Hope they may offer certification soon once this module is stabilized.

there is no certification. As now SAP EHS Management is in place since years and even takinginto account component extension my assumption is stil: there will never be a certification; but future will show.
