RSECADMIN: automatic generation of profiles

Hi,

I am generating profiles automatically via RSECADMIN -> Generation. This works fine.

Some questions to this:

1. how can I delete a bunch of profiles at once?
2. I am using DSOs 0TCA_DS01 - 3 via CSV-files. DTP from PSA to DSO is running in delta mode. When I load a delta dataset to these 3 DSOs what will the "Generation" functionality in RSECADMIn do? Will it generate only the profiles from the delta or all profiles again that are in the DSOs?

Hi Steve

If you generate the profiles throughRSECADMIN with empty DSO it should remove all generated profiles.

When you do a delta and run the generation again it generates all of the profiles new. You see that the number RSR_0000*** generated increases everytime you run the program.

btw you can use  report RSEC_GENERATE_AUTHORIZATIONS to generate the profiles automatically in a processchain

I have one question left: I would like to adapt e.g. the description for the profiles, so I am using DSO 0TCA_DS03.

Can I simply load the new texts and do the generation again in RSECADMIN?

We already assigned profiles to roles - I hope it doesn't interfere?

Yes, you can load data and later you can generate it. its doesn't effect exist settings of RSECADMIN.

So this means the following: the profiles that I have already assigned to roles won't be deleted from there?

Hi

It won't affect any manual assigned profiles. Also the text update won't interfere with the assigned profiles

You can delete the unwanted profiles from AGR_PROF table. This will be quickest.

This will load just statistical data, i believe. It will not reflect in RSECADMIN, i guess.
