Hi ,

While trying to setup/view SMD agents connected to our solution manager we tried to open SMD Agent admin screen but it won't start and fails with error.

http://hostname.domain.com:8030/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~smd~server~agent~admin/SMDAgentAdmin...

This failed with below error.

2013.09.03 06:32:52, Failed to open the Custom Configuration Editor for tc~smd~agent~application~checks (detail: Failed to retrieve configuration from: apps/sap.com/tc~smd~agent~application~checks/appcfg)

Maintenance mode stays "ON", if we try to switch it "OFF" we are getting below error.

2013.09.03 06:42:11, Error during the update of Maintenance mode. (detail: com.sap.smd.server.manager.SMDException: Failed to store config file: maitenance/smd.mode.properties)

Any ideas if this is known to anyone?

Thanks,

Abhishek

Hi Abishek,

Did you fix this issue? I have the same problem while trying to switch ON the Maintenance Mode.

Hi,

No I still don't have the root cause at this point.

This happened 3 times with us and everytime a quick restart fixed it.

It's been 2 months now and we haven't that situation since then and so I couldn't continue with the investigation.

Try with a restart for a quick fix.
