What other sites are there?

Does anyone know of any other alternative sites out there for SAP related discussion forums? Sapfans has been dying a slow death for some years now, (but refuses to go away altogether) and there is SCN - Anything else of any use?

There are Forums for national working groups... closed forums though, not open like SCN... and yes, sapfans... then there are sites like saptechnical, but these are not really open forums but rather the attempt of building a knowledge database.. often fed by content from SCN then again... so, well. SCN is pretty much the only source that qualifies, IMHO.

    Cheers, Lukas

P.S. well yes, then there's the social network abomination, but there's overall 99% mindless babbling, so no use trying there...

The only other one is the Insider Learning Network put on the folks by WISPubs, but that is moving to SAPinsider Online site. For full disclaimer I am SAP Press author and SAP Press is a joint venture operated under the WISPubs umbrella.

The only problem with the exception of the live chats, the traffic volume on their site is definitely not anywhere near SCN. The paywall products they offer are much higher quality per article than SCN blogs as of late.

In terms of social networks, I would say twitter if you need an urgent question is relatively useful if you follow/know the right people. Facebook is worthless for SAP knowledge networking, however perfect for sharing cat/dog/kid photos 😊. I have nothing against facebook, but I'm going to admit that I have a made a policy to keep all my facebook friends non-SAP related unless I know you in person. I think linkedin groups may be useful depending on the area. However most of the linkedin groups on SAP that I subscribe to, get overun by recruiters posting the next hot position. Eventually I will unsubscribe from those groups.

At the present moment SAP has built a good mousetrap with SCN or dare I say Hotel California (it's such a lovely place).

    Take care,

    Stephen

o wow. i really wanted to comment on those discussions but i dared not open my mouth in front of SAP giants. I totally agree that "copy pasting" poems dont deserve points. But on a neutral perspective, there are few actual and real poets who give their own compositions. And if i was a genuine poet, its a good news for me, because now i get to write more without being blamed for "doing it for points". Anyways, as its wisely said, "ill mind my own business", which is to keep learning from SCN and let my focus be there.

      Regards & Thanks,

      KS

I drew lots, and Gill Leo gets the 10 ponits. Sorry to everyone else who responded in this thread. Apparently SDN does not allow us to mark more than one answer as correct.

Next time must remember to not mark the post as a question.
