SAP Note 1736976 - Sizing Report for BW on HANA - Interpreting "incl. dyn" and "non-act."

Hi,

what do the diffrent columns of the Sizeing Report describe ?

SAP_BW_on_HANA_Sizing_Report_V1_4.pdf isn't to clear about this.

Also total [GB] incl.dyn and total [GB] (non-act.) is equal.

What's dynamics in the keyfigures for  total [GB] incl.dyn - What does it describe ?

Why is a "non-act." higher than the net data ?

Is there a fixed relation between total [GB] incl.dyn and total [GB] (non-act.) ?

How is this relation dervied from ?

Thanks

Martin

Hi SUnny,

what is a "dynamic object" ?

Any View / HANA Metadata table showing these kind of dynamic objects  ?

Thank You

dynamic objects are like merge, intermediate results etc. This is often related to data that is frequently changed in the database.

Thanks

Hello,

total [GB] incl.dyn: This is data including dynamic runtime memory.

total [GB] (non-act.): this is data with non-active data consideration."non-active data" concept: optimized memory consumption by taking into account that specific tables are preferred for memory displacement (e.g. tables belonging to objects in Corporate Memory).

Thanks
