Expense GL should be derived from Vendor in FB60

Dear All,

Client has a requirement that the user will put only Vendor (i.e. they do not want to put GL) and GL should automatically derived from Vendor.

They will provide the List of Vendor - GL relationship.

Is there any way to do fulfill the above requirement.

Thanks and Regards,

Debashri Dutta

    Hi Debashri Dutta,

I don't know if there is an advance derivation to derive GL from Vendor master, but how about
convincing the users a simple work around by using account assignment template?

You can set up the GLs to be posted in the template.
Whenever users want to post to this vendor, just call out the template with the GLs. You can even name the template with the vendor name if it can facilitate them even more.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Debashri,

Please try if it possible through substitution by using user exit. If not possible you may need to develop Z program instead of FB60 to achieve your requirement.

    Hi,

Is it possible to create a ZTABLE where you define one to one relationship between Vendor and GL and then setup a substitution to substitute GL field in FB60 on the basis of relationship maintained in the ZTABLE created.

Pls take help of your ABAPER to check whether this is possible...

    Regards.
