SAP HANA Studio setup - entry in host file

Hi,

My hosts file folder seems to be restricted and I cannot add any entry. though this should not be an issue (see below), I cannot connect SAP HANA studio to my AWS instance "system not reachable". any suggestion?

Thanks,

Stephan

  • [Note: If you do not create this hosts file entry, you will see a yellow status icon in your HANA Studio and a warning message "sapstartsrv not started". Your database will work just fine, but you will be unable to stop/start the instance from HANA Studio.]

    Hi Stephan,

In case your host file is restricted, ask your system admin to make the required entry in the Host file.

In the host file make an entry as :

Your elastic IP (xx.xxx.xxx.xx) and Host name most likely to be -->> imdbhdb

    xx.xxx.xxx.xx imdbhdb

    Regards

    Kumar.
