Hello

I believe you need to create a client to perform a client copy afterwards. In that case you may need to read this SAP KBA.

1537913  - Client Copy: Local & Remote copies, Client Export/Import and Client deletion

First you login with sap* with standard password,

enter t_code SCC4 then click on display/change option,

click on option new entries ,now you have to enter the client eg:300 then enter the client description ,then enter the logical system name eg:200

now enter the client role eg: Production, test, demo, customization, training

Hi Narshima,

Creation of client is simple procedure.

Prerequisite before creating a Client:

Check whether sufficient space is there in your server for this client

Procedure:

1.Goto SCC4

2.Click on Edit and then confirm the pop up for table cross client settings

3.Click on New Entries

4.Provide the information

5.Save

Note : For Logical System you need to first create the logical system and then assign it in SCC4.

6.Login to New Client with SAP* and Pass

Note :If the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar has value 1 or not set please set the variable to value 1 and restart the SAP system and then login.

Post steps

Hi,

Go to T-code SCC4, then go to change mode and press new entry. Now enter a (unused) client number along with a short description and other details.

After that please save the screen.

Check your parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar (value should be set to 0).

For details please refer SAP Note 68048 - Deactivating the automatic SAP* user.

After this you need to restart your SAP instance so that the change of Parameter comes into effect.

Now login to the system on Newly created client with SAP* user and PASS as the password.

Perform a local client copy using SCCL t-code.
