System.Exception: Error during attempt to encrypt data in crypto component

Hi,

I have been testing in BPC 10.0 for Microsoft platform the notification function, when a process is marked as completed.

The drive dimension is set to legal entity, in the legal entity dimension the reviewer property is filled out. But when I click on 'complete' in the process, the following error message occurs:

System.Exception: Unknown error occurred during the attempt to encrypt/decrypt data in crypto component.

Hi Luc,

it's an upgrade from 7.x version?

Have you seen if the BPC Server Event viewer shows any error?

Have you seen in the BPCLOG.X.LOG if there are error messages?

And in the appseerver->tbllogs?

Can you please share the complete messages?

Yes, upgrade from SAP BPC 7.0. But we have not used the process templates before, i have created this one in 10.0. 

• Have you seen if the BPC Server Event viewer shows any error?

Yes, EventID 0:

Unexpected error occurred.

Error message: System.ArgumentException: The directory name \\GPNIDWSBPC02\OSoft\Webfolders\AdminTemplates\ is invalid.

Hi Melanie,

sorry but I think you have to uninstall and reinstall bpc 10.

To be sure it's better ask to SAP.

What is ur SP? Also, make sure you have the right authorization to execute the step.

the authorisation should be no problem, i have admin rights and created the process template myself.

We have SP10 installed.
