counting characteristic values(urgent)

hi experts how are you...

here i got a requirement to display the total count for a characteristic info object...

can any one pl tell me how to do this??

my report(CRM lead conversion) contains..

lead number, total activities, and so on...

here lead number is a characteristic..

i needed to display total number of leads at the end of lead number coulumn...

im not able to put a counter for characteristic...

pl give me a soulution...

hi thank you very much stefan...

we got an idea to calculate the occurencies of char...

here i explain the problem clearly...

we have the cube and ods which are already in production...and the report requirement is to combine data from ODS and Cube..

so we have created a multi provider and trying to develop the report..in which we have to calculate characteristic count...

so is there any procedure to add a counter to the cube which is already in production...

or while gettting the data to multi provider, can we make this counter...
