Hi,

i have an issue related benefits when an employe is on LTD and STD.

1)Benefit Earnings should not be changed when an employee is on LTD and STD untill they return to work.

2) Also the year end bonus or other bonus included in benefit earnings should not be included in benefit eanrings until they return to work. This only applies to benefits and not pension.

Your second statements seems to contradict your first.

How do you define "Benefit Earnings" in your system?  Is it through V_T539J valorisation?

Hi Remi,

When the employee is active, year end bonus or other bonus are included in benefit earnings, once the employee is on LTD/STD then year end bonus or other bonus should not be included in benefit earnings until they return to work.

No we maintain benefit earnings in a custom info type.

If the Benefit Earnings are in a Custom Infotype, is it maintained manually or generated automatically each pay?

If it is maintained manually, you could try to create a PCR that would read the Benefit Earnings and compare it to a value that would be calculated by the system.

If it is generated automatically by the system, ask an ABAP programmer to try to modify the programming to suit your requirement.

Sorry but you will have to workout the logic required (no 2 systems are the same) and discuss the problem with your ABAP resource.

Start by looking at how the system can identify when an employee is on LTD or STD.

Next, look at the ABAP code that generates the Benefit Earnings, and add a decision on LTD, STD or other.  In the first 2 cases, change the Benefits Earnings calculation to exclude the Year-End Bonus, and the last case (other), use the current Benefits Earnings calculation formula.
