Display Approval name on requisition

Former Member

Requirement image below

Configuration Done.

I have set up workflow for this- Overall Release (WS20000077). After reading several materials, I created rule 9000001  assigned it to agent in Step 000004 of the workflow release.  In the rule I created at lease one rule and tested it, proper name shows up.

I activated User exit M06B0001.

Workflow works as expected, but when I go into the requisition, I can't see the name of the person who must approve it.

I know I can get this information in the workflow details. Request is to make the name appear here.

What am I missing?

Hi,

When you create release code, that time itself you should have maintain description & as mentioned above the same description needs to be entered in workflow as well.

Hi,

Also maintain name in agent ID of workflow.

After that you can get the name in PR/PO who have released it.

Thanks,

Bhaumik

Is it that you have entered a description in the configuration of release codes for PR and still not seeing it in the PR?

Dear Dominic,

Kindly maintain the description for the release code P1. After which it will reflect in the PR.

I was looking to use your rule in in workflow to determine the name of the requester. But Maintaining the name here works just as well.

Thanks for your imput.

do you have only one approver? no substitute for his vacation and sick time? is it okay that it is then still his name which shows up?

Hi Jurgen,

You are correct, how can I make the substitute name appear when the main approver is on vacation?

you see, it is all based on your organisation how complex it gets.

if you have just one approver, then you can write his name as description to the release code.

Or you can just add the user ID into the workflow field in release strategy customizing.

But if you have several and alternative approvers, then you need to use organisational groups for the workflow and release code description has to become more generic. like Department Head, plant managers , CEO .

the release code is going into the role, the role is assigned to one or more people.

you need to retrieve the possible approvers from the role assignment or, like you initially wanted, from the workflow information.

to make it visible in the PO requires a modification of the screen, or via BADI you get it into an extra customer tab.

After the approval the approver can be seen in the change history anyway.

Hi,

Why description of Release code P1 in BLANK?

In your screenshot,Release code P1 will show description of Release code P1 which you defined during configuration.

To find the releaser with release code with release date, you can use table CDHDR in t.code:SE16 &
execute by entering transaction code as ME54N or ME54

hi,

I can see approver P1 and description is disappear.

Is it a problem about description language and log on language ?
