Missing records in COPA Generic Delta Extraction

Former Member

Hello,

Suddenly, the COPA Delta Extraction started to fail, it returns less records than it should be.

I can get all the missing records if I delete all the delta loads since initialization and change the DELTAID field content of table ROOSGENDLM, with the date of the initialization and execute the delta again, but it isn't the solution of the problem, because is still failing, day after day.

The safety interval Upper limit is 1800 seconds (30 min). The Infopackage is executed with a period of 4 hours.

I just notice that field DELTAID not always match with the time of request (In BW) minus safety delta time, in general is a few seconds higher than it should be

The basis team apply the SAP Note 946545 - Generic delta: Not all data extracted, without success.

This are some characteristics of the system y SP:

ECC:

I hope could help me,

Thanks for all,

Hi Karin,

As seems like repeat delta may won't work.

Have set time stamp at KEB5? i think you missed.

for missed records we can load thru repair full request with proper selections.

Do the if delta was failing, please share error details. other wise, delete existing init and do init without data transfer.

copa delta mechanism try to implement at dev system if that works, implement at prod.

Thanks

Hi

I did try to set time stamp at KEB5 but is not possible. It shows me this message: "Function is not possible because DataSource 1_CO_PA_* is defined for generic delta, Time stamp could not be set".

I did an initialization with data transfer before and when the delta started though PC there where missing records again, Its not giving error.

I cannot do a full repair because there just some documents that are missing and happens every day, almost every delta execution.

There's something more a I can do or check?,

Thanks Ramanjaneyulu for your help.

Hi karin,

at ECC Side Tx - RSA2, check the delta method for this data source.

Seems like while creating  time, they created as generic rather than time stamp based.

http://scn.sap.com/thread/1252434

Two possible ways:

1. Need to delete existing data source and create  new one with the same name time stamp based data source (be careful.)

Or

2. Raise to SAP, take SAP Assistance.

Thanks

Hi

I suggest you move towards delta based on timestamp local / or global rather than generic. You might have to recreate the operating concern to be able to switch this and reinit copa.

Ramanjaneyulu,

When I try to create a COPA extractor I have no choices, Is established as Generic Delta.

here some pictures:

Could be another reason that produce the missing records between delta executions?, maybe the time stamp on DELTAID is generated with a delay.

Thanks,

Hi

Once created go to rsa2 tab "extraction" change it to TIMESTAMP

Hi Martin,

When I go to transaction RSA2 I can only view the Datasource, I can not edit the properties from there.

Thanks,

Hi Karin,

Seems like thru abap you can delta generic method to time stamp, not sure. try no dev system.

Please check the OSS Note: 814311.

Pls check below discussion, may helps you.
