Email Alerts from Process chains

Hello,

we have configured Email ALerts  for failure for all steps of our Meta chains. The issue is during a failure message the email alert comes form a non system user ID by some personal email ID who is monitoring the system at that instance.

the email alerts need to come in from either ALEREMOTE or BWREMOTE.

Hi Ali,

Actually we trigger process chains with background jobs, that job was created one of your team member. so that'y you may receives messages from emp user id instead default one..

check for one process chain which you received alerts from user id.

if background job created id same which you received alerts, then you can change that as you need.

you need to change the job id  to ALEREMOTE OR BWREMOTE.

How to change user id: see Umashakar reply.

Thanks

you have to check with basis if the back ground jobs holder is ALEREMOTE or BWREMOTE. or some other user name.

Hi Ali,

I'm facing the same issue.

You can find the solution in sap note 1847135 - Unnecessary addition of job log for Green proceses in e-mail.

Please check this note and let me know.

Regards

Gianfranco

Hi

As you figured the message gets send from the person that creates the systemmessage.

If you login with your aleremote and set it up this way it will come from that email address.

I don't know of any other way

Actually the issue is the email alert message comes in with different users , it usually is coming with the user currently logged in the system for process chain monitoring purpose meaning

1) if i have user A today and there is a PC failure while user A is logged in , the email gets sent out as if it is sent from User A.

2) tommorow is user B logs in then during PC failure email gets sent out with User B. and so on for other users.

But if there is no user monitoring process chain and a process chain failure happens then the email gets   sent out with ALEREMOTE user id.

Hi

Did you check in SM37 who is the user behind the job RSPC_MONITOR? Schedule this one under aleremote and you should come from there

we do not have alerts generating during a PC failure in SAP connect (SOST) and the alerts get sent out using RSCONN1 job. that runs every 10 mins
