Hi,
I have one scenario one webi report which is connected to universe which contains (US) related data from Oracle DB and in other DB i have UK related data.
My requirement is US user should see only US related which is Oracle DB and UK user should only see the UK related data which is in other DB.
How we can achieve this at report level.
Please help me out.
Thanks
Shiv
Shiv,
In BO 4.0 you can achieve this by creating security profile for universe in IDT.

Hi ,
You can achieve this feature using two different provider option in webi.
1st data provider for US
2nd one for UK
n create two prompts country from both the data provider .So that user can select their choice.
N pass the same prompt text in both prompts to display which country user has selected at the report level.

Hi Shiv,
First of All, I would like to know which BO version you are using.
In BO XI 4.x, we can use IDT with connections to more than one database.
In case of XI 3.1, this seems to be possible through below steps.
1. Create two seperate user groups for UK and US users.
2. Create two seperate connections for UK and US.
3. In universe Access Restrictions, map the user groups with connections.
Once the user will login and refresh the report in Infoview, the specific connection should come into picture and he must see the data for his country.
You could have a quick test and check if the above approach is working fine as I have not tested it practically
