Approach to learn Payroll Uk

Hello Experts,

Being a beginner, I have some knowledge about the payroll process, the commonc tcodes, but I am want to learn schemas ,PCRs(Personnel Calc Rules) and functions. Can someone please share with me the approach  which worked for you. Also whenever I try reading Schema or PCR I dont understand the steps. Please advice.

If you are an absolute beginner, I would advise you to start with the HR400 SAP material. Unfortunately I do not have a link for this as it is usually provided as part of  a training. Some useful links below. All of these can be accessed for free:

Thanks Johan, I did read HR400, but could understand only 50% of the things ... I really get stuck up when it comes to configure retroactive calculation, Average calcuation and the biggest pain point is TIME configuration... Thanks again for your help. I would come up with more specific questions right now I am kinda lost in big ocean.... ...
