Decision Flow Mapping from Project Task to Item DP

We need to have the date flow (Earliest Actual Start date across all tasks in a phase and the latest actual finish date across all tasks in a phase) on to the Item Decision Point linked to the Project Phase. So to say, we have a project phase 1 linked to Item Decision Point 1. Phase 1 has five tasks (let's say). The DFM is required to populate the earliest start and the latest finish (actual dates) from the tasks on to the Actual Start and Actual Finsih dates oF DP1.

Is this possible in the standard? If not, what is the development route? Please advise.

Hi Deepak,

It is not very easy, as the DFM is not designed for PPM project task level. My idea is, (not checked), is to populte the actual dates from tasks to phase, e.g. using customer fields. And then synchronize them from phase to linked DP.

I am not sure, if the customer fields can be used for synchronization or not.

Actually for the phase, there are already fields in the database (cgpl_project),  they are never filled in standard. I would rather suggest use customer fields instead of fill the standard in order to avoid the side affect.

The listed BAdI of DFM maybe usefull too.
