Bobj - BO Security : how can I find the list of access that a GROUP has ?

HI all,

I can't find a place where we can have a list of access that a group has, I'll try to better explain this :

I have a user group, called "Webi Users" and I have assigned this user group to a new folder calld "IT" with access level "View on demand" , the reason why I did it it's not important.

Now, If I would like to have a list of all the access that the "Webi Users" group has in my BO system, what I have to do? is there a place where I can find the information or there's no way? and more than this : it's just me that is having this need or there's someone else?

thank you in advance for your help,

Regards

Laura

    Hi Laura,

In CMC you can run a security trace. I forgot the exact name of this trace but you will find this in CMC for sure. You will have to run this trace for each folder, to know what level of access does your group "Webi Users" has in its respective folder.

There is no faster way of doing this, thats why its always recommended not to assign "SAP" delivered user groups or access levels in BOBJ. As its difficult to find what level of access they contain.

Also refer to the SAP BOBJ Security guides, you might get some details of the "Webi Users" group.

Note: I have assumed that "Webi Users" is the SAP delivered user group.

Good day Akshay, thank you so much for your reply, I will run the trace, unfortunately there's no inegrated tool to do this once and not in each folder... but this will help as well. Thank you another time ! Have a good day, Laura

It is quite likely that some speculant will tell you to start SU53 and then SUIM, but why they do that is also not important... ;-)

I will ping some folks and recomment you add a BOBJ tag to the discussion as well.

We dont see much security questions about it here as security is not the main focus there. Only a few rants about it - but things are improving..

    Cheers,

    Julius

    Hii Laura ,

Go to CMC and clieck on users and user group in left pane and now find out your user group " Webi users " and right click on it and click properties and under that click on " Member of " option

where you can find the desired options .
