Transformation File to Import Dimension Members without overwrite preexisting

Dear Experts,

I'm working with BPC 10 NW for Consolidation.

We use a Data Manager Package to import DIM ACCOUNT members into BPC dimensions. We need to set a custom properties value in the new members without updating the existing ones. ¿how may I do this?.

The solution we implement updates the preexisting values with the new value which is not what we want to do.

Hi Lucas.

1. You can keep all the existing members in the conversion file and set INTERNAL to *SKIP for each of them. This way only the ones that are not in conversion file will be updated.

2. You can do the same through start routine BADI, while loading data, read the contents of the dimension, compare it to the incoming list of members and remove the existing members from the incoming list. That's a fairly simple solution, considering you know your BADIs.
