Hi,
We have a requirement.
In Sales forecast (MD64), Sales person enters material requirement, say Material A.
MRP generates procurement proposal for this material A.
There is an alternate material B which is a substitue (or) equivalent of material A.
Client wants MRP output should consider material B also when planning material A. If the required quantity is available (matl B), PR should not be triggered for A.
If this is not possible, at the least, client wants a report showing the MRP output along with the alternate material code against the material code entered in MD64.
These materials do not have/do not require BOM. Its like Trading Goods.
Can anyone help me with your valuable guidance, please?
Thanks & Regards,
Siva
Hi,
You can provide the MRP data and avaliable stock via Z-report this is one solution as suggested by you.
Else please try below exit OR badi. Here you can control PR creation via MRP.
exit EXIT_SAPLEBND_001
badi MD_PURREQ_CHANGE

Hi Siva
This is not possible on the standard MRP. I suggest you to develop your own logic using BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA.

Hi Siva,
You can assign the alternate material with the main material in a Bill of Material (BOM). Then your requirement may bi fulfilled.

If these materials are items of a BOM you may explore whether alternate items group in BOM ( item basic data ) work for you.
