SAP HCM External Number Range Intervall

Dear HR- Gurus,

i ´am facing a problem when creating a Personal-Master in PA30.

I defined a personal number range and intervall in PA04.

02 10000000 19999999 as extern

I created a finding strategy in PA03 it is working fine so far.

But after the transport in Q- System i got this Message if i create a new employee master in PA30.

"Number range 02 is external. Please enter a number from the interval from 10000000 to 19999999."

Thanks for all help.

Sebastian

    Hi Sebsatian

1-Chech Feature NUMKR Infotype 0000 (Actions)

    2- Check t-code PA04 in ,Internal (' ') or external ('X') number range flag

Indicator which determines whether the number range interval is external or internal.

    Thanks

    Satish

    Hi Sebastian,

What is your expected result ?

If you flagged the number range as external, you have to enter a personnel number yourself (the system will not give the personnel number).

So if you didn't enter a personnel number, the message indicates you need to enter one.

If by external you mean people working for the company but who are not employees, then it isn't the "external" you're looking for.

    Regards,

    Philippe

    Hi Sebastin

Number ranges for employees or for number ranges for objects are client independent and it cant be moved from one server to another server as per my knowledge i can say that you again re create in quality server and be sure that number range and its code , and NUMKR feature specation should be same as you mentioned in development server. and i dont understand why your are going for PA03, it is for creating Control record which comes in Payroll module.

    hope it will help you

    Regards

    Harry

    Hi Sebastian

The error message implies every time you want to hire you have to enter the employee number yourself in the range defined by you 10000000 19999999 as the number range is external.

Only if it is internal, the employee number is proposed by the system automatically.

    regards

    Subramanyam

    Hi,

No. Ranges are client specific pls clone as you did in dev.

And after uploading please make it to internal no range.

    Hi Sebastian,

You have created Number Range to be External. Thats why system asks you to Input external Number. If you want Internal Number then Uncheck External field in PA04 and Try.
