Syclo Agentry server issue

Former Member

Hi Friends,

We have installed a Syclo Agentry server 3.1 in a server which is in internal network. The Agentry server is accessible from the desktop client installed within the network without any problem. But we are not able to access the server from outside the network.

Angel protocol is using 7003 port but as per our company policy we cannot open 7003 port to the outside network. We can only open SSL port (port 443). Because of this issue we are not able to move forward.

Please help to resolve this problem.

Thanks and Regards

ANGEL uses TCP/IP not HTTPs, so you cannot leverage your existing 443 for this communication. You need to setup protocol separation on the DMZ to route the TCP/IP with out inspection. You can do this only in SMP3.0 where ANGEL is wrapper in a HTTP socket.

I would suggest host your server on a AWS or outside company's network to work around this for now. If your network admin agrees to route ANGEL without Inspection you may have a way out which i dont see happening.

Hi,

You can request your network team to do a port forwarding and this should resolve the issue.
