Change the logical name of a data base

I have a cuestion in here.

Is there any problems if I change the logical name of a productive data base?

Hi Francisco,

What do you mean with changing the logical name? do you mean change the SID or db_name (if you are using Oracle)?

Hello Cotton.

Here is the print screen of my issue

The dabase name is Fideicomiso, and the logical name is isidoro_A, I need to change that name becuase there a other database name Isidoro_A.

Hi Francisco,

Since it's SQL SERVER... there is no logical name for a database... what you want to change is the logical name of the databases FILES, so you should not have any problems changing those names. I assume you did a backup/restore of the Isidoro DB.

Yes we restore teh Isidoro DB as Fideicomiso.

I have done the chaneges on the Logical names of the data base.
