Working with diferentes BOFC versions

Hi Experts,

We are a group of companies that use BOFC for consolidation. Each BU conducts its
consolidation separately and the
values generated are sent by csv
file to the holding company.

All BU's have version
7.5 of BOFC but
the holding will migrate from version 7.5
to version 10.

There are some data, such as accounts for
example, that are transferred from the holding (TOP site) to BU´s.

We may have problems in this data transfer since only the holding
will perform the migration?

May we have problems in this data transfer
if only the holding migrate to version 10.0?

Thanks

Madhuk

    Hello Madhuk,

Yes, you probably will see issues as the DB structure between 7.5 and 10 has changed.

In general, it is recommended that all sites are on the same version.

    Regards,

    Marc

    Hello Madhuk,

Csv import from BU to holding may work.

Transfering setup from the holding running V10 to BU running v75 won't work (using send object tasks, scan tasks, receive objects tasks).

Even if your holding and your BU plan to have V10, you should be sure that they run the same version (service pack level).

Maybe, in your migration project, you should also consider regrouping every BU consolidation Platform into one single Platform into the cloud or into your own holding infrastructure.

    Regards,

    Matthieu
