Crystal Report 2008 - Showing thicker border lines

Former Member

I am using crystal report 2008. We are using shapes in our reports. The border lines should be thicker than normal lines. In the header I have used a shape box with a widtt of 1.5. It is shown thicker properly. In the details section I have connected the box of header with lines of width 1.5. The lines are shown thicker properly on the crystal report desktop/designer but when I view the report on crystal report server the lines are not shown thicker. Can anyone let me know the solution for the same?

Hi,

Before installing service pack 6 service pack 5 is also needed. I have installed service pack 5 and 6. That helped little bit for alignment but still the lines which are shown thicker on crystal report designer are shown thin on the server.

Still trying to find out solution for the same.

I have checked that the Crystal report 2008 designer is the version 12.3.0.601 (Service Pack 3) and he Crystal report 2008 Server is 12.1.0 (Service Pack 1). I will try to upgrade both to Service Pack 5.

For Crystal server 2008 "CRS 2008 V1 SP06 for Server Component" is the latest patch, the same patch level can be found for Crystal Reports 2008.

I was first trying to download the service pack for crystal report 2008 designer. I got the link https://www.sdn.sap.com/downloads/BusinessObjects/cr2008_sp5.zip for the download which ask for user ID and password.

I have got another ID http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm. for the download but it shows service pack Crystal Reports 2008 SP4 and fix packs 6 but no SP5. Please let me know from where I can download the latest service pack.

Hi Sohel,

Our super administrator has downloaded the CRS 2008 V1 SP06 for server component. So, whether the installation of same is sufficient or do we need to install the previous service packs too.

Hi Sohel,

'

When I have selected the option of Web Active X (ActiveX required) the border width is coming fine.

However can I do some change using Web(No downloading required) so that the width gets fine? I have tried changing the DPI settings but it did not help.

I am only using the crystal report 2008 designer and crystal server 2008.

Thanks gor your help.

Hi Simran,

Which type of cr viewer you are using in Infoview. (Infoview > Preferences > Crystal reports)

Did you check the issue with all viewers?

Is you CR designer and BO enterprise on same patch level?

Try to change the DPI settings from infoview preferences and check if it makes any difference.

Hi Sohel,

The type of viewer which we are using is Web (no downloading required).

How can I know the patch level of CR designer and crystal server 2011?

I will try changing the DPI setting and update.

Hi Simran,

if you are using Crystal Server 2011, then you should use Crystal Reports 2011 designer and not CR2008.
