Hi Folks,

Can you please let me know what setting i need to do so that when ever i am in Tcode-CBGL_MP01 & do a label preview it would directly open in MS word application instead of word open in SAP window? Purpose of this is to get more print option as we get in our normal MS word documents as compared to when it it opened in SAP window.

I am aware of some setting which are applicable for DMS- INPLACE & OUTPLACE which are used to open thye DMS documents in & Out of the SAP in window but not sure if same would be applied here or if there are any setting in GLM for this?

Regards

Nishant.

Hello Nishant,

Sorry to invoke a thread on an old issue but we are facing this issue in our ECC system after ECC upgrade from EH5 to EHP7.

I wanted to know if you were able to resolve this issue as we are facing a similar issue. If so, could you guide us the process to resolve the issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nishant & Hitesh,

Not much aware of the options in GLM to achieve this, but why don't you ask your BASIS team to configure a new SAP Output device such that it gives printer selection options for printers configured on LAN (front-end printers). It is very much possible as I have got the same done in SAP WCM- Work Permit Solution. In this way, there is no need to open/save the label preview on front-end, and print command to local printers can directly be triggered from SAP window.

Please let me know if this option suits you.

Hello Pavan,

Well I am from the basis team myself. This requirement has come from business after the upgrade that they want the preview to be opened in a separate word file & not within the embedded word window.

Any clues how this can be done. This works as desired in the systems on the original source release but this behaviour has changed in the target release.

Dear Nishant

not really sure what you would like to achieve. But in any case: WWI.INi and some other options is the may be "right" place to check. Regarding GLM: this is more difficult.

You can not really compare behaviour of WWI in EH&S (in Winword) with other places in SAP.

Ma ybe some other persons do have better ideas to handle your issue.
