After upgrading a BW 3.5 system to 7.3 with Unicode, we find that when importing foreign characters (chinese or russian for example), the characters are recognized and correctly displayed in the PSA, but fail as invalid characters when loading into the ODS. Has anyone else seen this issue? And what was the fix?
Hey Sandra,
that happened at a client I was working... their source system was not unicode and the 7.3 is. We solved it by putting ALL_CAPITAL_PLUS_HEX in RSKC
(there's a rather extensive document on special characters to be found here: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-12084)
Cheers,
Raf

The data which comes to PSA is just a raw data. It cannot detect any errors. DSO only can detect the invalid chars. I still feel your BW 7.3 system is not unicode compliant.
