Log In issue with IR & ID

Hi Experts,

      Some days back i joined a new company as a PI Consultant . here i was given UID & PW to log in PI DEV system .which is a existing system with version 7.0. i can access RWB, SLD  but can't access IR & ID. getting AUTHORIZATION Error (user ID and password Incorrect).I tried many times but the result is same.my lead is in another location and he can access (IR, ID) from there with my Credentials.

     Please guys suggest me some solution

Hello Anirban,

Check the link - Troubleshooting PI ESR and Integration Builder Logon Issues. Firstly make sure you are using the Java 1.4 version on your pc. This is the only supported version for PI 7.0.

Also check the section "Some Known Issues:" -> point 2. This is a common cause of the error you describe.

Hi Anirban Das,

If you can able to access the PI home page and RWB, you should also able to open ESR and ID as well.

Check with basis team, whether they have assigned credentials to access ESR and ID or not?

also check the java version that is having in your current system.

Go to control panel --> view small icons --> Java.

click on view, check the java version. if it is too old or java 7 update 25. you need to install JDK 1.7 update 40.

HI 

I have faced the same problem which is JAVA version problem.  If you are using OS windows 7 you  will face this kind of error.  Check JAVA version.  Thanks
