Hi folks,
I'm very new with the Crystal Reports and I would like to get some tips here to solve my problem.
I will deactivated my old server where Crystal is installed, so now I want to know if there are some doc to get information how to migrate the Crystal Reports Server XI to Another Server.
I appreciate any help,
Thanks in advance,
Renato from Brazil.
The last doubt I promise :-).
Is the Crystal Reports Server XI R2 supported by Windows 2008 R2?
Thanks,
Renato

CR XI R2 does not seem to support Windows Server 2008.
Here's the PAM guide for CR Designer (supported windows servers should be the same for CR Server Xi R2 as well).

Hi Renato,
Do you mean that the physical server box that was hosting the Crystal Reports Server XI (CRS XI) set-up is now de-funct and you intend to migrate/copy/re-configure the set-up on a new server box.
If thats the case, then you need to install the CRS XI on the new box, then copy the CMS database to the new database and then move the filestore(IFRS and OFRS) content from the old box to the new one.
One of the tools to achieve the migration of objects(users, groups reports, universes, connections etc) is Import Wizard. The CMS database can be copied to new database server by using options in Central COnfiguration Manager.
Please refer the admin guide for more information.

Hi Prathamesh,
Yes, you are right! I wanna go to migrate physical server box completely to the new one in US.
I'm new here in the company and I'm looking for the documentation to do that.
One question, this tools "Import Wizard" keeps my server in Brazil intact in case of rollback?
Regards and Thanks for help me,
Renato
Hi Renato,
if you would like to migrate the Crystal report server data from old system to new system the below link will help you the process..
or if you would like to upgrade your server to higher versions the the below link will help you.(it is the link upgrade to XI R2 version, which is also legacy version.)

Hi Renato,
What is the BusinessObjects version on the Server that you're migrating the content to?
If you google the term you should find loads of info.
For an instance, look at this best practises doc for BI 4.0 upgrade.
P.S: An important question is - are you migrating content or upgrading to a higher version of Business Objects?
