ESS / MSS Issue

Hi All,

I am new to ESS / MSS, which I am currently working on. Portal is 7.3. They have a issue now after patch upgrade.

While trying to extract saved form drafts the users are getting error: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (130) JCO_ERROR_XML_PARSER

Please note: while creating and saving forms in drafts is not causing any problems.

After much investigation, the error seemed to come from the RFC calling section. So while checking the RFC and the FM it was calling, we discovered that "SO08" and other such couple of entries got deleted in abap table, during Ehp upgrade. ABAP tam is currently looking into the issue.

Could you please guide me to find which RFC call is causing this error?? The application used by FLM is WDJ.

Hi Soumya,

Please explain in detail what you do and maybe include screen shots.

Also which version of ESS/MSS are you working on (JAVA or ABAP, EHP5)?

I am a portal person. It is standard MSS in 7.3 portal. They have FLM package installed and used to fetch data from ABAP via standard FLM application Forms [This is WDJava]. The error is getting generated while trying to fetch saved / drafted forms. Application for creating / saving forms is in WD ABAP. It is in EHP6.

The error I found in dev_rfc.trc is this:

Error> occurred [8] >Fri Aug 16 17:05:22,889< RfcException: [HD3|sapXXXXXX]  message: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (130) JCO_ERROR_XML_PARSER: Parameter EX_FTYPE_EXCL_T: Expecting a tag to begin with '<' instead of 'S', in "tem><item>SO08</item"  Return code: RFC_CONVERSION(21)  error group: 104  key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE  Exception raised by HD3|sapXXXXX
