Nakisa 4.0 SP1

Hi,

Currently we are running Nakisa 4.0 SP1

In the documentation of Nakisa I read

Advanced printing, exporting & sharing Flexible printing and exporting options enable offline sharing of org chart data in a variety of customizable formats.”

But when I go into the export settings, I only see:

I do find someting under "Export Configurations"

But that's not really something that I can configure.

So does anybody have any experience setting this "flexible printing" thing up?

And does it allow for a non-image export to powerpoint so the client can actually edit the org chart in powerpoint?

Thanks in advance!

Kr,

Gerrit

Gerrit,

To answer your other question, the Export to PPT Object feature was removed from version 3.0 SP3 onwards.

(See OrgChart table in this blog: http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/hcm/talent-visualization-by-nakisa/blog/2012/05/17/upgrading-visual...)

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. That was what I was afraid of...

Too bad that the export to objects was removed though.

Hi Gerrit,

You need to design your own template through the UI print menu, then save it to a file. Upload this file to your config using the "Upload Content" button in AdminConsole. Then, set that template as your default template from this menu:

You can also change a number of default print/export settings from the same menu, but the template you created through the UI should have all the settings you need. Then, the end users can modify the settings based on your default template instead of the out-of-the-box template (which has things like the "Your logo goes here" image where the company logo should be).

G'luck!

Hi Gerrit,

There is nothing to configure for printing or exporting in the AdminConsole. Instead, you configure a template within the front-end (in either the print or export options), save it, and then upload it to the AdminConsole to make it a template for use by all users. It can also be set as default here.

You can configure things like the paper orientation, headers and footers, images, watermarks, and number of pages to print over.

Best regards,

Luke
