How to Assign material of different plant to general tasklist of different planning plant

Hi Expert,

Please can you suggest the standard process for the below scenerio

1. General task list is created for Planning Plant : 1001

2. Material is maintained & stocked in Plant : 1004

Unable to assign the material of Plant 1004. Giving the Error Message "Material XXXXXXX is not maintained in Plant 1001.

I Can't extend this material to Plant 1001. Because stock is maintained in Plant 1004. There is no stock in Plant 1001

Requirement is to create Material reservation in Plant 1004 but not to Plant 1001

Requirment is not to extend material to plant 1001 or create the general task list for planning plant 1004. But create material reservation in plant 1004 with task list of planning plant 1001.

There is only two option

Extend materials to Plant 1001 or Create the General Task LIst for PLant 1004.

Apart from above there is no another way to do this Material Planning.

Hi,

      There is two condition made which will be solve your problem.

Condition1: Please Extend Your general Task List from your Plant 1001 to 1004.

OR Condition2: Please extend this material to Plant 1001 and transfer your stock from Plant 1004 to 1001 with TC- MIGO.

First transfer material between plants with MB1B movement type 301 and then assign.

He doesn't want to extend the material to 2nd plant.

What I have suggested is not the extension. It is transfer. This is his solution.

Better the asking person assess the replies.

Is it possible to transfer from one plant to 2nd plant without extending the material to both the plants??

My reply was with some basic assumptions. If material is invalid for a particular plant, then obviously it can not be transferred.
