Import Error Issue - Return code 8

Hi All,

I am importing Multiprovider from BW Dev to Qty

It is showing - Error with Return code 8

Can anyone will help on this Issue.

Hi Mayur,

transport collection  must be sequence.

While you are collecting,

Infoarea - catalog -Infoobject - infoprovider - transformation - mpr - ip/dtp - query

we need to follow the sequence.

-Make sure you transport 0ACTDELDATK & ZACT in cataloge Z_TESTKEY1.

-Reactivate infocube ZAFL_RTL and DSO ZAFMMINV these objects need to be added to a transport and imported before you can reimport your return code 8 transport.

- Check if you 2lis_12_VCSCL updaterule is active.

Check each TR's error indivitually and fix it.

in First screen you can see InfoObject ZTESTKEY1 is not present in catelog hence it is failed.

in second Check all InfoObjects shown in log are active in further system and then only send Multiprovider.

Go one by one and fix issues so that you can able to complete transport.

Have you followed the correct sequence of BW Transports .

1. Transport Info Object Catalog and Info objects.

2. Info Providers including DSO , info cube etc.

3. Transport transformation

4. Multi provider

5. Query

Hi Mayus,

Have you transported conntecetd targets to multiprovider. seems like no.

IEx: you have build MP on dso1.dso2 and cube. First you need to move Dso1,dso2 and cube and then only you can transport MP othersie wit won't allow.

Have you transport all info objects which were used at source targets?

No mayur, Previous transports may not be moved sucess to quality or may not be tansported.

Listed error object form your message:

Please check all the below objects are active in bw quality.

IOBJ Catalog - Z_TESTKEY1
       IOBJ - 0ACTDELDATK and ZACT

DSO - ZAFMMINV

CUBE -ZAFSALAN 

Unused dimension ZAF_TRL4 - There is unused dimention at target - ZAF_TRL, so pls delete this dim.

Some inconsistency at MP - ZAF_RTL, try to repair thru t code - RSRV
IS = 2lis_12_vcscl - is this data souce was replciated into bw side as 3.x or 7.x data source?

As my guess you have lot issues. need to be done with patiance.

Can you please guide me how to check MultiProvider in RSRV bcoz in RSRV the is no option of checking MultiProvider..

Hi Mayur,

Mean while please check the mentioned objects are active at bw quality.

Check RSRV for connected targets(dso/cubes).

For info cube Tx - RSRV , Elementary tests "Transaction Data" "Fact- and Dimension- Table of an InfoCube"

For DSO you can find easily there.

Hi Mayur,

Multiprovider doesnt hold any data. please try to repair the infoproviders (cube/dso) with the help of RSRV / SE14.

please let me know if you need anything.
