Place a HTML div in a panel??

Hi,

I have piece of code which is written using the Kinetic js for building shapes in HTML5. I have added these shapes toa stage which is finally placed into a div in my HTML document. I now want to place this stage or div in a SAP UI5 Panel. I tried placing the div element inside the Panel but the error says "the div element is not a SAP ui5 element". How can i do this.....plz help!!!
