Do I need a Wily EM Technical system?

I've just upgraded to SM 7.1 Stack 8.

Migrating the SM product system from SMSY fails - No technical system for relevant Wily EM.

But in 7,01  it's not possible to have a technical system for Wily EM.

There is a step farther along that creates a WLY Technical system - in lmdb, not SMSY.

Am I supposed to re-create the SM product system using LMDB product system editor?

It only supports ABAP and java technical systems.

The WLY technical system is still an orphan.

Will this cause problems?

No, that's not my problem.

My problem is I can't migrate my xSM product system from SMSY as is.

I CAN edit it in SMSY, upgrading the Sol Man and Netweaver version and REMOVING the relevant (empty) Wily EM.

After it's migrated, the xSM product system no longer has a technical system of type Wily EM.

If I go into LMDB product system editor and attempt to add technical systems .... search is by type and name - there is no "Wily Enterprise Manager*" type... Can't add.

If I look in technical system tab, suddenly there is type "Wily Enterprise Manager (standalone)" and I can see WLY .

Hello Ken,

it has to be created in LMDB. It seems below KBA should solve your issue:

1820491 - Wily Introscope with ID WLY was not found in the landscape
