Scheduling not working in Business view manager

Hi I am trying to poluate Cascading prompts into Crystal reports i have created  everything in  Business view manager I am unable to see anything in crystal report (Empty text box). So i have gone to BVM try to schedule it it says

"There is no scheduled List of Values instance. This list of values executes on demand."

I am not understanding this how to do this?

Hi Aditya,

To schedule the LOV, right-click the LOV (Not the Prompt Group) and select 'Schedule List Of Values'.

In the 'Schedule' window you might sometimes see that the 'Database Logon' button' is enabled. Click that button and enter the database credentials and then click OK.

Then double-click the LOV and check what the schedule status says.

There could be many reasons why the schedule shows an error. Try creating a new Data Connection > Data Foundation > BE > BV > LOV. See if this new LOV schedule works fine.

P.S: What version, Service Pack and Patch are you using for Business Objects by the way?

Hi Abhi,

I am using BOXI 3.1 Sp5 Crystal reports 2008 I am getting following error in Business view manager after creating new data connection and all..

Status of List of Values Instance: Failed

Creation Time: 8/17/2013 6:45:14 PM

Start Time: 8/17/2013 7:26:08 PM

End Time: 8/18/2013 6:37:44 AM

Server Used: USBDBOXIRP920.ListOfValuesJobServer

Error Message: The request could not be submitted for background processing.  File ~tmp8223c7a2b8248970.rpt.

When I browse and see field all fields are givung me data. I have also restated LOV job service

hi Aditya,

What is the connection type you are using for that Business View?

Test the connection is successfull or not?

if you used ODBC connection then also create a same name of ODBC of connection on server  and test the issue again.

Hope this information will help you...

if it still get error message please share about your connection information.
