Data source enhancement

I got a scenario where we done enhancement and added a field in datasource and the newly added field does not contain any historical data, but the datasource contain the data and is loading the data from past 1 year. After enhancement in ecc, coming to BI side while using infopackage whihc update can be used ?

And there is a staging target standard dso and reporting target is Cube in the above scenario. And the cube and DSO contain historical data, how to add the enhanced field to the DSO and Cube, Please provide me suggestion.

Hi Ravi,

if you need last year data for your added field then drop(from dso/cube) and reload whole data is mandatory.

in this case, full load, init and delta.

if you don't historical data for added field, next day day onwards your added field will be filled delta loads. you can use delta info pack.

Follow the below points: Need to lock source tables or you move this transport where there is no business hours.

1. first you need clear all delta related queue SMQ1/LBWQ/SM13/RSA7 by running gV3 jobs(in lo case)

2. By running delta info pack two times, make it zero records at RSA7.

3.. After the enahancement, you need to replicate data source into bi side and activate it.

4. Add respective info object DSO and Cube. do the transformation and mapping. activate whole flow.

5. For info cube/Dso you can add object thru remodeling. if your at bw 7.3 for DSO also applicable for remodeling..

6. if you don't need historical data for added field, you can use delta info pack and continue further updates.

Adding to RK point, 

For Cube,You can add the IO to the dso by using the remodelling.

If you are using 7.3 , then you  we can add the IO to the dso by using remodelling.
