CR2008 crash when Insert Picture

I have tried all different formats of pictures (.jpg, .bmp, etc) I am working on Windows XP. I have closed down all other programs. I have rebooted my computer. Can't get this to work on sample reports or even blank reports.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi Abhilash,

I am using 2 monitors. I have my main monitor on the right and additional monitor to the left. I tried and put CR 2008 on either monitor and it still crashes on Insert>Picture. It allows me to select the file, but then once it is attached to the cursor it crashes.

I have also tried to register the product and I have gone through the website and had a registration # emailed to me. I insert it in and it says thanks for registering then I go to Help> About Crystal Reports... and it says this product is NOT REGISTERED!

What is going on?

I'm not too sure if CR 2008 fully supported multiple monitors. Have you tried with a single monitor setup?

Another option would be to upgrade to the latest Service Pack and Patch for CR 2008.

Ok if I shut off one of my monitors in control panel > Display then it works.

Very odd. But ok.
