MRP Re-order point qty change -Old PR's not deleted

Former Member

Dear Guru's,

I have uploaded new safety stock settings yesterday for MRP area A420_Z200, however, the old PRs created from previous MRP run were not deleted , some PRs created in 2011, 2012 are still shown in Open PR list; from understanding, those PR should be deleted when new MRP runs, new PRs should be generated based on safety stock settings and material requirement list.

1.Could you pls let me know the reason like why the old PR's are not deleted.

2.How to clear the these PR's in ME5A report

Changes done: Reorder point Qty is changed from Qty: 4 to Qty:3

Please advice the cause.

Thanks in advance.

hi,

planning departman have to check undelivered PO's after that you can run updated MRP Area .

1- you can delete or quantity fulfilled in pr

2-ME5A is filtered status 'N,A' , this documents are not related with po. After that, you have to check undelivered po's. You can try ME2N to calculate of po quantity - migo quantity to tick last delivery.

It is done with MEMASSPO tcode.

Hi,

To share with you, we had a Z-program running in background under schedule.

It will perform the auto-close function for the PR that are generated and not taken up after X no. of days.

This is done before the same MRP run for the article/vendor happened.

Each time, only 1 set of PR remain active in the system.

Hi Ozgur,

Thanks for the reply..

I don't want to delete PR's manually, just want to know the root cause of the issue and why the system has not deleted the old PR's while new run has been performed.

Thanks,

Hello

Firstly, you should make sure that these materials are being planned by MRP. You can check on transaction MD05 when was the last MRP execution of the material. If the last MRP run is from a long time ago, you should check if the planning file flags are checked on transaction MD21. MRP only selects for planning materials where the respective flag is set and these flags are automatically set by the system after each MRP relevant change.

Otherwise, if these material were included on the last MRP execution, the purchase requisitions are probably firmed (fixed) and MRP does not change firmed purchase requisitions. If you uncheck the firming indicator, system will probably delete the requisition on the next MRP run.

Had you checked if those requisitions are firmed?

goto ME53N and check in quantity tab if the indicator is activated or not.

Dear Caetano / Jurgen,

No it is not firmed, no check against "Fixed Id" in PR.

Thanks,

Vasanth

Hello

Can you please run MRP on MD03 and check the results?

Also attach a screenshot of MD04 and MD05.

Hi Vasanth,

You can set delete or block the PR by using LOCK .

But it will be  in the system with delection mark and futher no document will be created for the same .

You can get the list of Archived Purchase Requisitions in ME5R.

Thanks,

Hi,

Please check input parameters of MRP run . You may be running MRP  via MD02 / MD03 or background check input parameter for PR creation .

Hi,

Did you choose planning mode 3 (Delete and recreate planning data)?
