#error issue

Hi all,

My question is that the client is not seeing the values of formula while I see it the figures.

ı created the formula with his user name as those reports are held in his own local.

How can that be?

Product version is 14.0.5

How could I solve this?

Thanks..

Eddy.

Eddy,

Some more questions - #ERROR is the error message used when the error is not covered by other error messages, so a bit of a catch all unfortunately:

1/ Is the MDX generated on both machines the same?

2/ Are the permissions on each account the same? I would imagine that you'd get a different error because the user wouldn't be able to get data back

3/ Can you insert data into a blank report on the users machine if you edit the report?

Eddy,

Can you please let us know what is the back end that you have? Also I am assuming you are getting this error in WEBI. Also if possible, share the formula as well.

Thanks,

Abhijit

Hi Abhijit,

Formula is briging correct figures but the issue is that if refresh ıs made on the user's local it turns into #ERROR. Additionally when I do refresh the values get rfreshed as ıt ıs on the database.

My source is BEx report

Eddy,

Few more things to confirm -

1. Same account is used at both the places, User's Machine and Your Machine to run the report.

2. Report is accessed from Launchpad and not through Rich Client.

3. Connection to Bex is Secured and not local.

Thanks,

Abhijit

My Replies

1. Same account is used at both the places, User's Machine and Your Machine to run the report.

There are two machines: mine and other user's

2. Report is accessed from Launchpad and not through Rich Client.

Both report is viewed and designed via LaunchPad

3. Connection to Bex is Secured and not local.

What do you mean by that?

Eddy,

Regarding Query 1. I wanted to know if you are using the same Business Objects credentials (either yours or users) on both the machines?

Also does the formula involves date?

Thanks,

Abhijit
