If you have installed oracle already, so your environment variables are wrong, check is ORACLE_HOME is set with the path where you installed oracle.

You do realize that support ends at the end of this year?

Hi Kumar,
1. Check the below environment variables, as they all should be set:-
ORACLE_SID
System ID of the database instance
Example: C11
SAPSID or sapsid refers to the SAP System ID.
DBSID or dbsid refers to the name of the database instance (database instance system ID).
When a single instance is installed, SAPSID and DBSID are the same.
Home directory of the Oracle software. This variable no longer needs to be set. If not set, the SAP tools determine its value from the registry.
Standard: <drive>:\orant
Example: D:\orant
This variable is optional with Oracle version 8.1 and later.
Directory of the database files.
Standard: <drive>:\oracle\<DBSID>
Example: E:\oracle\C11
2. Check whether Oracle services are running in services.msc
3. Check whether listener is up or not by
go to Run
lsnrctl
lsnrctl> status
If not start it.

Himanshu

Hi D Kumar,
Check Oracle services running or not in service.msc.
How you installed Oracle Database?
Check PAM also once.

Hi Kumar,
I am not sure how you done the Oracle 11.2 installation,
can you please follow the note 1524205 and double check your installation, read this from the note, if you can follow the inst guide for installaing oracle 11.2 and linking to oracle home.
Oracle Database 11.2 Patch Sets Are Full Installations
Starting with the first patch set for Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.2), Oracle Database patch sets are full installations of the
Oracle Database software.
In the past (before release 11.2), Oracle Database patch sets consisted of a set of files that replaced files in an existing Oracle home. Beginning with Oracle Database 11g Release 2, patch sets are full installations that replace existing installations.
For further details and information about full installation patch sets see My Oracle Support note 1189783.1.
Please check,
Thanks
Jansi
