Deficit of Customer Stock when Posting Goods

Gurus,

We are using customer consignment process. We have a little problem with some of the orders. We did consignment fill-up to the customer locations and in some cases, we do consignment pick up. After that we do the consignment issue.

Now we have some orders that we have problem with during after consignment issue. We create the delivery and do a post goods issue but we get error for some of the materials saying we have deficit. To be exact, "Deficit of customer stock unr.........". I looked at MB58 to see if we have enough at the consignment locations and we have do have enough. Infact we are creating consignment issue for the remain stocks we have in the location.

Please look at the screenshots below.

The first picture shows the error message. The second picture shows the consigment inventory we have at the location. We are doing post goods issue for the exact quantity we have at the location and we are getting this error.

Note: When we create the consignment issue (KE), we create an outbound delivery and and post goods issue right there and that's when we get that error.

This are the screenshots for MMBE and MB5B. Let's take the first item as an example. If you look at the error message in my original post, you'll see that we are doing PGI for only 51 PAI. Now the below screenshot is showing what we have in consignment stock. First pic shows overall quantity which is 2,629. and the second screenshot shows quantity for the customer ship-to specific location which is 51 PAI and that is what we are trying to do PGI for if you see in the original post picuture.

The last picture shows MB5B for the PGI date and it shows we have enough quantity as well.

Check if the SB - Special stock indicator Partner in the Delivery -> Header -> Partner is the same as the customer (62001495) in MMBE.

Gobinath,

Thank you very much. That was the problem.

Thanks everyone for your reply.

The second pic shows MB58 (custom). It shows the stock available at the location. If you look at the materials showing insufficient stock, you'll see that we are actually doing consignment issue for the exact quantity left at the location. If the first picture for the first material, we are doing PGI for 51 PAI. If you look at the second pic, you'll see that we have 51 PAI left at the location, the same for the 2nd and 3rd item.

So the question is why is it showing deficit when we are doing PGI for the exact remaining quantity left at the location?

Dear Basil,

Please explain that looking at MMBE enough stock is available in consignment stock or not? Also, confirm from MB5B as if sufficient stock is available on a specific date when PGI needs to be carried out. Thanks.

Hi,

Check in MMBE whether there is sufficient stock available in Consignment stock

this situation arises when there is no sufficient consignment stock for issue

if possible can you put the screenshot for your MMBE

We did consignment fill-up to the customer locations and in some cases, we do consignment pick up. After that we do the consignment issue.

I think, the root cause of your issue starts here.  Since after consignment fill-up, consignment pick up had taken place, definitely, there would be some deficit of fill-up stock when you try to issue in line with fill-up stock.  So to have a better understanding, may be you should explain here, what was the fill-up quantity, what was the picked-up quantity and finally what was the issue quantity.
